From Wigan, take the M58 or A49 towards Liverpool. Follow signs for the city centre and Royal Liverpool University Hospital (Prescot Street). The drive usually takes 30–45 minutes. The hospital is well signposted as you approach.
Parking is available on site at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital; charges may apply. Follow signs for hospital parking.
Wigan has rail connections to Liverpool Lime Street. From Lime Street, a taxi to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital on Prescot Street takes about 10–15 minutes. Some patients prefer to drive for the flexibility of returning home the same day after a procedure.
